Our Gr5 medical titanium rods are made of grade 0 sponge titanium as raw material, mainly used for manufacturing orthopedic implants such as bone screws, intramedullary nails, joints, medical equipment, etc. Medical titanium rods are generally available in two grades: 6Al-4V and Gr5eli. Their implementation standards include ASTM F136 and ASTM F67. The standard specifies that the titanium ingot is melted three times, and during forging and opening, the rod is subjected to multiple high-temperature drawing processes, hot rolling to the desired size, machining, drawing, heat treatment, straightening, polishing, non-destructive testing, and finishing polishing to the finished rod.

Medical titanium quality testing requires chemical composition testing, mechanical performance testing, and metallographic testing, which must meet the requirements of A-3a.

The inspection of medical titanium products requires surface testing, using eddy current testing and ultrasonic testing to check for surface defects and internal cracks, in order to ensure product quality.
