How to use titanium basket?

Titanium baskets are mainly used for the following purposes.

1. The conductivity of titanium is poor. Generally, the energizing current of the hook outside the water is not more than 0.24A/mm2, and the energizing current of the hook in the water is not more than 1.5A/mm2. Otherwise, the hook body will heat up, which will cause the temperature of the plating solution to rise and the cooling capacity increase, waste electric energy, and even damage the plastic tank due to heat. When the titanium basket hooks are found to be significantly hotter, the number of titanium baskets can be increased or the cross-sectional size of the titanium basket hooks can be increased to improve the conductivity of the titanium baskets.

 

2. The contact between the titanium basket hook and the electrode generally does not use a flat or round surface. This method is likely to cause poor contact and cause spot corrosion on the electrode.

 

3. The mouth of the titanium basket should be higher than the liquid level to prevent the anode slag from flowing out.

 

4. The lower end of the titanium basket should be 100-150mm higher than the parts to avoid excessive concentration of current in the lower parts and cause scorching.

 

5. The titanium basket and the anode should be in close contact, otherwise the anode potential on the titanium basket will rise sharply, causing oxygen evolution and chlorine reactions on the surface of the titanium basket, causing damage to the titanium basket and oxidation of additives.

 

6. In order to prevent burrs from the coating, the titanium basket should be coated with the anode bag, because the bag is usually used for a long time without removal, so it is recommended to use the "double bag" method.

 

7. The mouth of the titanium basket should be sealed tightly in the anode bag, and a gap of several centimeters should be left at the bottom of the bag to store the anode sludge that may be generated.
