Products Description
Grade 4 medical titanium rod is an α-type titanium alloy. This type of alloy exists in a single α-phase state at both room temperature and service temperature. It cannot be strengthened through heat treatment (annealing is the only applicable heat treatment) and mainly relies on solid solution strengthening. Its room temperature strength is generally lower than that of β-type and α+β-type titanium alloys (though higher than that of commercially pure titanium). However, it has the highest strength and creep resistance at elevated temperatures (500–600 °C) among the three types of titanium alloys.
