Tungsten crucibles are a type of tungsten metal product, primarily divided into sintering molding (used in powder metallurgy technology), stamping molding, and spinning types. These crucibles are made using tungsten rods through turning processes (typically for smaller sizes), a variety of welding methods, and pure tungsten plates or rods processed through the corresponding techniques. Tungsten crucibles can be used in vacuum or inert gas environments at temperatures up to 2600°C. Tungsten has a high boiling point, high-temperature strength, abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance, high thermal conductivity, a low thermal expansion coefficient, and good hardenability. Tungsten-cerium is widely used in industries such as rare earth smelting, quartz glass production, electronic spraying, and crystal growth.

Precautions for use

 

Preheating: Before use, the crucible must be preheated. It should be slowly heated to 500°C. After use, avoid placing the crucible on a cold metal surface immediately, as sudden temperature changes can cause it to crack.

 

Avoid Falling and Collision: Tungsten crucibles are relatively fragile and can break easily from external impacts. Handle them with care to prevent dropping or collisions.

 

Avoid Overheating: While tungsten crucibles have high-temperature resistance, they should still be protected from overheating to prevent melting. The maximum temperature that tungsten can withstand is 2600°C.

 

Avoid Chemical Corrosion: Tungsten crucibles should be kept away from highly corrosive chemicals to prevent material degradation and extend their lifespan.

 

Maintenance and Care: After use, clean the crucibles promptly and store them in a dry environment. Ensure that the crucible is completely dry before the next use to avoid cracking caused by residual moisture.
