GR2 Titanium Wire

GR2 titanium wire is a type of commercially pure titanium welding wire. Compared with TA1 welding wire, it contains fewer impurities, has good mechanical properties, and offers excellent welding performance. It is used for welding titanium alloys, mainly in seawater and brine heat exchangers, condensers, and paper bleaching systems.

With a density of 4.54 g/cm³, titanium is 43% lighter than steel and slightly heavier than the well-known light metal magnesium. Its mechanical strength is similar to that of steel, twice that of aluminum, and five times that of magnesium. Titanium has high temperature resistance, with a melting point of 1942 K - nearly 1000 K higher than that of gold and about 500 K higher than that of steel.

Medical field: Used to manufacture surgical instruments (such as hemostatic clips and suture needles), dental implants (including tooth roots and crown brackets), and orthopedic fixation needles, as it is non-toxic and compatible with human tissue.

 

Welding: Used for welding titanium equipment, titanium components, and special-shaped parts.

 

Eyewear and accessories: Processed into titanium wire for eyeglass frames, where it provides both light weight and elasticity. It is also used to make watch straps and jewelry (such as necklaces and bracelets) to meet aesthetic and durability requirements.
