Gr9 Titanium Pipe

GR9 titanium tube is a titanium-based alloy tube, corresponding to the national standard TA18 titanium alloy tube. Its nominal composition is Ti-3Al-2.5V, which classifies it as a low-alloy, near-α titanium alloy.

Thanks to its excellent overall performance, the GR9 titanium tube is an ideal material for manufacturing high-pressure, lightweight conduits in aerospace applications. In the chemical and petroleum industries, it is used to produce acid- and alkali-resistant pipelines, reaction vessels, and more. In marine engineering, it ensures the safety and reliability of systems such as seawater transport lines. Additionally, it is commonly used in the production of sports and outdoor equipment such as bicycle frames, fishing rods, and tent poles, as well as in medical devices like orthopedic implants and dental instruments.

The chemical composition of titanium and titanium alloy bars shall comply with the requirements of GB/T 3620.1. If retesting is required, the allowable deviation of the chemical composition shall conform to the provisions of GB/T 3620.2.

The diameter or side length of hot-processed bars and their allowable deviations shall conform to the relevant specifications.

After hot processing, the bars are finished by turning (grinding) or cold rolling. The allowable deviation in the diameter of cold-drawn bars shall comply with the specified requirements.

After hot processing, the non-roundness of the bars shall not exceed half of the specified dimensional tolerance.

The variable length of processed bars ranges from 300 to 6000 mm, and the variable length of annealed bars ranges from 300 to 2000 mm. Fixed lengths or double-lengths should fall within these variable length ranges. The allowable deviation in length is +20 mm. The cut allowance for double-length bars shall be included, with each cut allowance being 5 mm. The fixed or double length shall be specified in the contract.
